One of our chapter members entered the Women's Issues Essay Contest and received first place in the "Family" category of the state Woman's Issues Contest for her excellent entry, "I Inherited More than DNA from my Grandmother."  The Women's Issues Committee Essay Contest gives DAR members a voice and a platform to explain clearly all the facets of the issues that women face in everyday life.
